Privacy Policy

Circlo is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data processed

1. Contact data

• Type: names, phone numbers and birthdays of your contacts
• Photos: a contact's photo is read from your address book when it is displayed. It is never copied, stored or transmitted: Circlo only keeps the identifier needed to read it again.
• Source: imported from your address book with your permission, then editable in the app
• Purpose: organizing and tracking your relationships according to your frequency circles

2. Usage data

• Type: interaction history (calls, messages, notes), app preferences
• Source: created as you use the app
• Purpose: computing your statistics, reminding you to reach out, personalizing your experience

3. Technical data

• Type: app settings and preferences
• Source: configured in the app's settings
• Purpose: running the app according to your preferences

Data storage

All your data is stored locally on your device only:

• no data is sent to external servers;
• no data is shared with third parties;
• you keep full control over your data.

Data sharing

No data is shared with third parties, for marketing or commercial purposes. Circlo contains no ad network, no behavioral analytics and no tracker.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR and applicable regulations, you have the following rights, all exercisable directly in the app:

Access to your data

• the Contacts screen to review your contacts;
• the Statistics screen to review your history;
• Settings to export your data.

Portability and export

Settings → "Export my data". The export is generated as JSON and shared through your device's native share sheet.

Deletion

Settings → "Delete my account". This permanently erases all your contacts, circles, preferences and history. It cannot be undone.

Rectification

Every contact and every circle can be edited or deleted individually in the app.

Security

• local storage on your device;
• protection provided by the system encryption of iOS and Android;
• no network transmission of personal data.

System permissions

iOS

• Contacts: access to your address book to import your contacts, with your explicit permission.
• Notifications: to send you reminders, with your permission.

Android

• READ_CONTACTS: reading your address book for the import.
• WRITE_CONTACTS: writing to the address book.
• Notifications: for reminders.

These permissions are requested explicitly and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

Changes to this policy

Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with the date at the top of the document updated.
